New: Blaadje’s Toddler Forest
In the heart of Westerbergen’s Indoor Play Paradise, a new area is opening, especially for the very youngest children: Blaadje’s Toddler Forest. A cheerful, safe play area covering 35 m², fully designed to meet the needs of toddlers up to the age of 3. Featuring 16 unique play elements designed to encourage discovery, exploration and movement at the gentle pace of the youngest adventurers.
Mascot Blaadje and his friends Winck and Blinck feature in the design of the Toddler Forest: in the wall murals, on the play elements and at the entrance and exit gates. This means the forest, which opened in the summer of 2026, immediately feels familiar to our youngest guests. Curious to find out what else there is for toddlers to enjoy at Westerbergen? Blaadje’s Toddler Forest is free to access for guests aged up to and including 3 years. Admission is included in the cost of your stay or visit. Parents and carers are welcome to sit on the cushions along the edge of the toddler area.
Exploring and climbing at your own pace
A play area tailored to toddlers
Toddlers play differently from older children. They explore calmly, feel their way around what they encounter and climb carefully at their own pace. Blaadje’s Toddler Forest is deliberately designed with this in mind. The layout is entirely focused on stimulating fine motor skills and engaging the senses in a way that is safe, challenging and appropriate for the development of children up to the age of 3.
Varied play area
What do toddlers find in Blaadje's Peuterbos
The play area features 16 elements, divided into three categories:
Wall games: sorting, spinning and memory puzzles that stimulate fine motor skills and cognitive development.
Soft play: soft climbing elements, safe for the youngest adventurers.
Play systems & sensory rings: from a ground den to rings with artificial grass, soft fur and a fun mirror. Every ring is a new discovery.
The play area is surrounded by an atmospheric forest wall mural over 10 metres wide, populated by the animals and characters from Blaadje’s Peuterbos. It’s as if your toddler is stepping right into the Drenthe forest.

Safe play, relaxed parents
Blaadje’s Toddler Forest is fully enclosed for children up to 3 years old and clearly laid out so that parents can always keep an eye on their child. The soft play floor and certified materials ensure a safe environment even if little adventurers fall or bump into things. Parents and carers can sit on the cushions along the edge of the Toddler Forest, always close by and with a full view of the children playing.
For children aged 4 and over
The Big Indoor Play Paradise
Has your child moved past the toddler stage? At the Indoor Play Paradise at Westerbergen Entertainment Centre, a world of active adventure awaits: climbing, sliding, jumping and exploring on a grand scale. This way, every child has their own challenge and parents get a moment’s peace. Blaadje’s Toddler Forest is accessible at no extra cost.
